CSE Insurance Group Files to Offer Pay-Drive Program
California Insurance Commissioner Steve Jones recently announced a personal auto filing by CSE Safeguard Insurance Company (CSE). The program is called “SAVE” and it allows policyholders to participate in a pay-drive option rather than the traditional method of reporting mileage within a specific range. The program will give insured’s a refund for reduced driving at the end of the policy period. CSE is expected to fully release the program by January of 2012.
Getting Money Back For Driving Less Miles Per Year
President and CEO of CSE Pierre Bize stated that “The new SAVE program structure is quite simple, this is a true pay program where our customers pay for the miles they drive. Not only are drivers reporting their actual mileage, they are reimbursed for the difference between their estimated and actual annual mileage.”
How The Pay-Drive Program Will Help Motorists In California
Pay-Drive programs can help consumers in 2 ways. First of all they can help you save money if you drive less miles per year. The second thing they do is help those who are concerned about the environment, lessen their carbon footprint by giving them an incentive for using their car less and using transportation that has a lesser impact on the atmosphere.

Other Ways Californians Can Save Money On Auto Insurance
The Pay-Drive program will undoubtedly save customers money if they do not drive a lot of miles each year, but until it is launched there are other ways to save money on insuring your vehicle. By far the best way to begin to save some cash on your premium is to compare auto insurance rates from as many different companies as possible. Since each carrier charges different prices for the same coverage this is of the utmost importance if you want to make sure you are not overpaying for your policy.
Be sure to ask your agent or broker about any other ways you might be able to save. Since many companies offer discounts for things like being a good driver, a good student or even for having an auto club membership, you may be able to take advantage of an array of savings opportunities. Getting car insurance quotes from carriers that offer such perks can really help you when it comes time to make a decision as you will probably end up choosing one of them since the prices can be reduced quite dramatically. Another good idea is to ask friends or relatives for advice based off of their experiences with different insurers. Ask them which company they use for their cars and see if they are satisfied with the price and service they have received. This is a great way to gain insight on what you might experience if you proceed to purchase from the same carrier.
